Looking to the future: dot-spot and LEDON cooperate

Combining their respective competences and strengths, using synergies, expanding the portfolio to offer comprehensive lighting solutions for an increasing project-oriented, individual demand for luminaires for indoor and outdoor use - this is what the German luminaire manufacturer dot-spot and the Austrian specialist for technical luminaires LEDON have made their partnership their mission.

dot-spot develops, manufactures and distributes LED luminaires and lighting solutions primarily for use in demanding outdoor areas, but also for special applications in damp rooms and buildings. Both the series luminaires of the highly innovative company and the customised special solutions Made in Germany are produced in the company's own manufactory.

LEDON develops and distributes LED luminaires mainly for indoor use in commercial buildings - always aiming for the best light and product quality. In addition to innovative indoor solutions, LEDON also offers LEDIVA, a photovoltaic pole luminaire for self-sufficient outdoor lighting. LEDON's Horticulture Lighting division focuses on smart grow lights for professional indoor plant cultivation.

The claim to offer luminaire concepts created through the optimised symbiosis of technology, materiality and utility as well as the high awareness of quality and the environment unite both companies. "The path to sustainability and stronger positioning in the market leads through innovative and above all market- and customer-oriented solutions," emphasises Thomas Hödel, founder and managing director of dot-spot. "With LEDON, we have a partner at our side who shares our passion for light as well as our demand for quality and offers us the opportunity to provide high-quality luminaires for general lighting in the indoor and horticulture sectors with an expanded and complementary portfolio."

Using the resources and know-how of both partners in a targeted way to serve the market with a broader portfolio is an important aspect of the cooperation for both companies. However, the aspirations of the partnership go far beyond this for dot-spot and LEDON. "New things should be created, especially against the backdrop of increasing digitalisation, also in the lighting sector," emphasises Andrea Bergerhoff, Managing Director of LEDON. "The partnership with dot-spot expands our competences of individualisation and adaptation of our solutions for the requirements in the project."

In this way, the two luminaire manufacturers want to qualify for projects that see light as an essential component of interior and exterior architecture, from planning to execution, and turn it into both a functional and decorative experience. This is in line with the partners' mutual understanding of the importance of good light. In terms of sales, the two companies operate independently of each other, whereby the competences of the respective partner can also be drawn upon in the short term, especially in the project area, so that comprehensive solutions can be found for the customer.

The Company LEDON

LEDON develops and distributes sophisticated LED lighting solutions for a wide range of indoor requirements and applications, as well as for horticulture lighting with its Smart Grow Lights. As a pioneer from the very beginning, LEDON has made it its mission to provide the best quality light.

The company, based in Lustenau, Austria, develops exclusively LED-based products with high quality and durability - both of which contribute to reducing resource consumption. The high quality of light and the flicker-free nature of the luminaires ensure people's well-being and health. The LED luminaires and lighting solutions for indoor use are used in commercial properties such as logistics centres or manufacturing plants, as well as in offices, schools, hospitals and numerous other buildings. They help to provide light that is both economical, efficient and of the highest quality.

The Smart Grow Lights of the LUMEOLUX series have been specially developed for use in the challenging environment of greenhouses and indoor farming. With the self-sufficient LED solar light LEDIVA, LEDON brings energy-efficient light, well-being and safety to places where a power supply is not available or would not be economically justifiable.

The Company dot-spot

dot-spot develops, manufactures and distributes LED luminaires and project-specific lighting solutions for use in gardening and landscaping, interior and exterior architecture, yachting and shipbuilding as well as in the event sector. The company is characterised by a high level of innovation and development creativity.

Since its founding in 2006, dot-spot has demonstrated its high level of competence in the development and production of series and special luminaires for highly demanding applications. The first LED garden and object spotlight with THERMOCONTROL technology was developed and manufactured in-house. This was followed by the brilliance recessed ground spotlight, which, with its unique spherical swivel mechanism, is one of the most powerful ground luminaires with the smallest external dimensions. With the clarios flex beam, dot-spot offers the first IP68 LED spotlight with adjustable beam angle. The products of the luminaire manufacturer based in Schwarzenbruck, Franconia, combine modern design and fine materials such as V4A 316L stainless steel with sophisticated electronics. Another area of expertise is the rapid and flexible implementation of projects with customised lighting solutions - from development in ongoing, close interaction with the customer to production and on-site installation.
